  The food was absolutely terrible, the hush puppies were dry and hard. The staff was very pleasant but the owner is very pushy and demanding. Heard her yell and cuss at a staff member in the back with the doors wide open, with customers inside. Not very professional if you ask me. I wouldn't recommend coming here. Bubba 'N' Franks and Pierce's have better barbecue in my opinion.

  The q was outstanding. Portions were excellent. Staff was really nice. If you like NC BBQ, ypu should go here!

  Just ate there and heard mix reviews. I am a true BBQ lover and wanted to give it a try and was very impressed. When I showed up the owner met me at the counter and offered samples of the the food. The owner stated they did not want me to purchase something that later I did not like. The NC style is very good and the Beef brisket was very good. I ordered the VA BBQ special was very different. The favor combination was very good with a zesty sweet taste. I told the owner I would rate it 8.5 but I told her I am a traditional BBQ person from Kansas City Mo and I have high standards. I will go back and try brisket and the ribs. The owner was very open to comments and willing to share idea with the customer. The store was very clean and felt very at home. For those that wrote about bad food I would highly recommend contacting the owner with your comments. The owner was very concern about my comments and suggestions. I think if you have a issue and the person behind the counter can not fix the issue then tell the owner if they were not present. I can understand why the person behind the counter would not refund you because they might not known how to handle refund.

  Good NE NC style barbecue and slaw. It's the best we've found locally so far. The family special for takeout is a great deal!
